I am currently going into my second year at Southampton
Solent University studying BA (Hons) Makeup and Hair Design. Before I started
university I had a brief idea of what I thought it would be like as my sister
was just going into her 3rd year when I was starting; I started the
year thinking I would probably be given 1 project per term and just work throughout
the year to complete this, how wrong was I?
I have always been a creative person, since I was little I have
loved to bake, create things and do other people’s hair/ makeup. I wasn’t really
sure how I was going to channel this creative flow but after doing Photography
for my A level I learnt that makeup/ hair for fashion was my real passion.
In this blog I am going to reflect on my first year of
University, what went wrong, what went right, and how I am going to improve for
my second year. I am going to look at
the assessments I had and what I think about them, and I will also compare my
first project to my last and see how much I improved throughout the year.
